Belgian sea fisheries experienced a modest recovery in 2024, with total landings increasing by 0.89% to 15.168 tonnes and landing value rising by 5.4% to nearly 88.5 million euros. Squid remained the most landed species, followed by sole and plaice, with sole generating the highest value at 35.7 million euros. Additionally, it raises the aid intensity for electricity price relief under the Clean Industrial Deal State aid Framework from 50% to 70%, allowing for cumulation with certain other aid amounts.
